Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League
Division One
A Yasmin Edwards hat-trick wasn’t enough to preserve Oxford City Women & Girls Development’s 100% league record as they went down 5-3 to Ashridge Park in a thriller at Cantley Park. The hosts kept up their perfect start with a Lauren Broadhurst double, a spectacular effort from Rachel Stevens, a Chloe Barton penalty and Molly Brookes added a fifth from the halfway line. Ashridge Park now join Finchampstead with three wins from three while Oxford City remain top of the table.
Barton United picked up their third win of the season with a 4-2 win against Goring United at Barton Park Pavilion. The hosts raced into a 4-1 lead at half time with goals from Sophie Hindley, Alisha Johnson and a brace from Jahayna Abdullah. Sophia Crawshay replied for Goring in the first 45 minutes with Rosa Maitland reducing the deficit further in the second half. Barton currently sit in fourth in the middle of a group of six clubs on nine points, while Goring drop to eighth.
Larkspur Rovers moved to second in the table with a 4-0 away win at bottom club North Leigh. A Shenice Dyer hat-trick with Savana Fearon adding the other to give Rovers a comfortable victory.
Ruislip Rangers joined the chasing group on nine points with a 3-1 win against Wallingford & Crowmarsh at Kings College Playing Fields. Rangers goals coming from Krystal Follett and a Catherine Fahy double, with Megan Osborne replying late on for the visitors.
Yateley United gained their first win of the season, hitting Haddenham for six to pick up their first three points. The hosts were 5-0 ahead at the break and went on to complete a 6-2 victory with goals from Courtney Smith, a first half hat-trick from Katy Mallaband, Megan Worthington and Leah Skinner with the others. Special mention also to Georgia Harris who finished the game with four assists for the home side. Haddenham replied with two goals from Phoebe Morley.
Banbury United v Finchampstead was postponed and, as Banbury are yet to play a league match this season, you have to wonder when or if we will see them kick a ball in anger this season.

Division Two
Thame United climbed to the top of the table with a 4-0 win at Meadow View Park against S4K and preserve their 100% record.Yasmin Williams opened the scoring in the tenth minute and that was how it stayed at half time. A quickfire double from Shona Reid-Evans and one from India Cox completing the win after the break.
Easington Sports joined Thame on nine points at the head of the table with a 9-2 rout of Kingsclere. Sports had seven different scorers on the daywith Rochelle Buick and Louisa Tuzzio grabbing two apiece with Frances Henderson, Serina Milenkovic, Nadia Nowacka, Emily Parker and Danielle Roberts completing the scoresheet for the hosts. Tracey Beales and Jenna Thain with the Kingsclere goals.
Caversham AFC move into third with a 1-0 win at the Den in a hard fought game with Denham United Reserves. Pia Davis with the only goal of the game.
Another match won by a single goal took place at the Harwell Campus as a 58th minute winner from Ellie Bradbury took the spoils for Harwell & Hendred against East Oxford as they improved their record for the season to two wins from three games.
Wantage Town picked up their first three points of the season in a close encounter with a 2-1 win over Didcot Town. Hailey Paige opened the scoring for the home side in the 10th minute before Enya Lee equalised ten minutes before the break for the visitors. Talia Clark won the game in the 76th minute for Wantage in another tight match in Division Two this weekend.

Division Three South
AFC Reading top Division Three South and maintained their 100% start to the season with a 4-3 win at the Berkshire County Sports Ground against Brook House. Ruby Taylor, Daisy Donovan and Unity Clark with two on target for the hosts, Alicia Grinhaff with a double and Millie Badham on the scoresheet for the visitors.
Windsor & Eton surrendered their perfect record to the rapidly improving Berks County in a 6-5 thriller. A Georgie Hill hat-trick, Laura McGregor and Emma Hester wasn’t enough for the hosts with County always ahead in the game through aFreya Johnson treble, Mollie Steadman and two from Olivia Aluko. Berks County move second, level on points with AFC Reading while Windsor drop to fourth.
Taplow United moved up to third with a 5-3 win over Harefield United, Olivia Stewart (2), Jena Thethi, Sophy Barnett and Jaqueline Hanson scoring for the home side, and Leigh Underwood (2) and Chelsea Edwards on target for Harefield.
Barton Rovers suffered a 6-1 reversal at home to Sandhurst Wolves with Caitlin Ryan scoring four, with Ellie Berridge and Kaylie Sturdy completing the rout for the visitors.
Marlow Town came away from Lowther Road with their first three points of the season, winning an end-to end game 3-1 against Wokingham Town. Loren Alsford opened the scoring for the hosts before Marlow stormed back into the game with a header from Lucy Dodwell-Bennett, a chip from Sharon Muir and a Hayleigh Larkin shot from distance. Division Three West
Newbury now head division Three West after a nine goal demolition of Kidlington Youth at the Donnington Recreation Ground. A first half hat-trick from Beth Dutton set them on their way, with Connie Gale, two from Samantha Richards, and Hannie Makant helping herself to a hat-trick of her own in this 9-0 win.
Rotherfield United secured their second 3-3 draw in a row versus Headington at Bishopswood Sports Ground. Annalea Lane, Gemma Tominey and Emily Norman on target for the hosts, Sophie Froud, Emily Marriott and Elle Parker replying for the visitors.
Summertown Stars were the second side to hit nine in the division this week, thrashing Thatcham & Newbury Town Whites at Cutteslowe Park. Alisha Pitts (3), Caroline Rubin (2), Emma Bartlett (2), with Anna James-Bott and Cassandra Smith completing the scoring.
It was a closer match-up at the Henwick Worthy Sports Ground as Thatcham & Newbury Town Blues won a close game 3-2 against Tilehurst Panthers Reserves. Ella Drake scored twice for the Panthers but it wasn’t enough, the Blues taking all three points with a brace from Katie Mullis and one from Hannah Bousfield.

Developmental Division
Stanford in the Vale made it five wins from five matches with a 4-2 away win at Arborfield to give themselves a three point cushion at the top of the table. A Katie Cornford hat-trick and one from Erin Selkirk was enough to give the visitors the three points. Abbie Kite and Hannah Room with a goal each for Arborfield wh now find themselves sixth in the table.
Finchampstead Reserves moved into a group of four teams on twelve points at the top end of the table and now sit third after a 6-0 win at Goring United Reserves. Goals from Fozia Khan, Emma Gaywood, Emily Powell, Eva Raheja, and a brace from Evie Davies giving the visitors a comfortable victory.
Wraysbury Village made it four wins from six matches with a comprehensive victory over E7. Flavia Amato started off the game in fine style scoring twice in the opening ten minutes, Amy John chipped in with two goals in five minutes, and Sarah Scowen added a fifth on the half hour to give the visitors a 5-2 lead at the break. Caitlin Melhuish scored a sixth just after the break and then it turned into the Erin Felton show as she grabbed four goals in the second half. Jessica Hill-Thompson with two and Eloise Rees were on target for E7.
Wycombe Saints were another team to win on the road and join the group on twelve points with a 4-1 victory at Sandhurst Vets Warriors. Johanna Young with two goals and one apiece for Stephanie McDaid and Chloe Lewis was enough to take the points back to Wraysbury Village with Hannah Montero getting the Warriors reply.
East Oxford Reserves grabbed their first win of the season with a 3-0 victory over Rotherfield United Development at Oxford Rugby & Football club with Emily Perkins (2) and Harriet Caiger scoring the goals.
