With the FAWNL Cup and Plate fixtures taking precedence over the league games this week, only one league game survived and that was at the Nigel Eady County Ground in Swindon where they took on Maidenhead United. A 25 yard strike into the top corner from Jess Graham was all that separated the teams at the half time break with Macey-Nikiah Walters hitting the crossbar for the visitors.

The Robins forced the pace in the second half and added two quickfire goals around the hour mark with Poppy Dearlove and Katie Sherwood the scorers. That seemed to knock the stuffing out of the visitors and three further goals from Holly Beck-Esson (74), Annie Colston (87) and Taylor MacDonald (90) gave the hosts a comfortable win.

In the delayed FAWNL Cup tie between Southampton and Moneyfields, the visitors booked their place in the next round with a 3-0 win with goals coming from a Brittany Jeal double in two minutes on the hour mark and a late third from Charley Wilson-Wilton.

In the Plate, Abingdon United suffered a 3-0 reversal away at Bedfont Sports Ground against Actonians. Two goals in two minutes from Ikraam Mohamed and  Khyri McKenzie gave the hosts a two goal lead at the break with Mohamed adding her second and Actonians third on the hour.

AFC Bournemouth continued their sparkling goalscoring form with an 8-0 demolition of Portishead United with goals coming from Abby Jones, Katie James, a Jenna Markham brace, Erin Bloomfield and a hat-trick from Chloe Gilroy.  

Keynsham Town took the local derby honours winning 4-1 against Bristol Rovers. Naomi Clipston, Vicky Vipond, Beatriz Kretteis and Ciara Lundy were on the scoresheet for the hosts, with Rovers lone response coming from Megan Jarvis.

Oxford City Women & Girls Development continued their perfect start to the season with a third win on the bounce, this time thrashing Haddenham 10-1 to stay top of the league. Four goals apiece for Ava Daci and Yasmin Edwards along with Anna Goddard and Megan Jones for the home side, Julia Rushmere with the solitary reply for the visitors.

Ruislip Rangers kept their 100% start going with a slender 1-0 win over Goring United with Hannah Hamid grabbing the only goal of the game.

Larkspur Rovers responded well to defeat last week with an 8-0 win over Wallingford & Crowmarsh, goals coming from Polina Avramova, Charlotte Workman, Shani Minors, Avril Clark, Dawn Clark and a treble from Savana Fearon.

Barton United opened their campaign with a 9-2 win away at Yateley United. Hannah Woolf and Georgia Harris on target for the hosts (Barton United goalscorers to follow).

Ashridge Park finally got their 24/25 season underway with a 5-0 win over North Leigh. Two goals in the first half from Ellie Messitt with Lucy Thompson, Lauren Broadhurst and Katie Sayer completing the scoring for the home side in the second half. Thame United sit at the top of the early Division Two table after winning 4-0 at Meadow View Park against Kingsclere with the goals coming from Josephine Taylor, Emma Potts and a Shona Reid-Evans double. That’s two wins in two now for the hosts with Reid-Evans already having six goals to her name from the first two matches of 24/25.

Denham United Reserves matched Thame by also winning their second match of the season, a 3-1 win away at Easington Sports to keep their 100% start intact. Two goals from Jessica Stickley and one from Dadrian Kennedy were enough to give the visitors the points, Rochelle Buick replying for the hosts.

Didcot Town led at the break in their game with S4K at Cantley Park through Enya Lee but were pegged back in the second half, Megan Cox (Kelly) scoring twice to give S4K their first win of the season.

Harwell & Hendred, and Wantage Town were in Berks & Bucks FA Women’s Trophy action.

There were three close games in Division Three South this week; the first saw Harefield United on their travels, defeat Brook House 1-0 with Scarlett Castree scoring the only goal. Harefield joined Windsor & Eton on six points at the head of the early league table, with the latter not playing due to being in cup action this weekend.   

Berks County joined Harefield on six points with a hard fought 1-0 win against Sandhurst Wolves at the Memorial Ground with Mollie Steadman grabbing the winning goal.

Barton Rovers picked up their first three points of the season with a 3-2 win at Marlow Town. A brace from Sharon Muir not being enough for the hosts as goals from Georgia Hallett, Leah North and Jessica Fullbrook meant the visitors took the spoils.

AFC Reading, Wargrave, Windsor & Eton and Wokingham Town not playing league games due to Berks & Bucks FA Women’s Trophy commitments.

Headington picked up their first win of the season with a 7-2 win over Kidlington Youth. Two goals apiece from Emily Marriott and Lydia Smith and one each for Hope Adamson, Andreea Dumitru and Elle Parker for the hosts, with a double from Ana Sarwar replying for the visitors.

Rotherfield United enjoyed their trip to the Henwick Worthy Sports Ground, winning 4-1 against Thatcham & Newbury Town Whites to keep up their 100% start to the league season.Emily Norman hitting two,Annalea Lane and Millie Blumire scoring one each for Rotherfield. The Wallingford & Crowmarsh Development side made it two wins from two with a 4-2 home win over Summertown Stars with goals from Phoebe Marks, Eva Strange and two from Erin Youhill Partridge, Summertown scorers to follow.

Burghfield and Thatcham & Newbury Town Ladies Blues were not in league action due to the Berks & Bucks FA Women’s Trophy.

Finchampstead Reserves defeated Arborfield at home to preserve their 100% record this season, two goals from Evie Davies and a Tobi Obileye finish giving them a 3-0 win.  

Stanford In The Vale followed up last week’s 6-0 victory over Arborfield with a 6-2 home win over Rotherfield United Development to head the table. Heidi Robinson helped herself to four, with Gemma Littlechild and Kylie Flynn adding further goals for Vale, a brace for Rotherfield’s Georgia Hill completed the scoring.

Wraysbury Village responded well from last week’s reversal against Burghfield Reserves to rout Sandhurst Vets Warriors 11-0. Erin Fenton scoring five, Tamara John two and a goal apiece for Flavia Amato, Allanda Byrom, Amy John and Brooke Pomeroy.

Wycombe Saints found it tough against Burghfield Reserves, going down 5-1 at The Rye. Johanna Young scoring for the hosts and a double from Georgia Hind with Sophie Beake, Millie Caswell and Georgia Elliott on the scoresheet for Burghfield.   

Finally, Wroxton Sports opened their 24/25 campaign with a 2-1 win at East Oxford Reserves. Alexandra Pitcher and Grace Mander scoring for the visitors, Poppy Jarvis with the only goal for the home side.
